What to Wear and Bring to The Star Sydney Casino

Prepare for The Star Sydney casino entry with valid ID, 18+ rules, venue dress expectations and mandatory carded play.

CHECKED28 JUL2026

Dress code is a prominent Google intent, but entry also depends on age, identification and the current carded-play system. The Star states that casino guests must be at least 18, and since 19 November 2024 all players need a valid physical Player Card or Star Club card.

Plan it in four checks

  1. 01Bring a current accepted photo-identification document.
  2. 02Check the destination venue if it has its own dress conditions.
  3. 03Allow time to obtain a Player Card before gaming.
  4. 04Keep the physical card and PIN under your own control.

What the details mean

Restaurant, bar, hotel and casino-floor access are not identical. A polished casual outfit may suit many areas, while premium rooms, events or late-night venues can apply additional conditions. Official event and venue pages should take priority over general travel blogs.

What to do next

If the purpose is gaming, choose between a Player Card and Star Club membership before joining the queue. The Player Card provides gaming access and safer-gambling tools without member benefits; Star Club adds the rewards programme. Ask staff about accessibility or entry questions before arrival.

Looking for online play instead?

The Sydney property and an external online casino are different services. Compare the online route separately before creating an account.

Important: Never lend a Player Card or use someone else’s card. Carded play links activity and applicable limits to the named patron.
